Ok, so let’s get this straight, registered Democratic Senator, self described independent, now a buddy with Republicans, Joe Lieberman, went on the Republican National Convention stage and said that Barack Obama is not qualified to lead the nation.
Normally, this could be taken as just mere politics. However, Senator Lieberman has gone on record as saying:
“As far as I’m concerned, [Obama] is a ‘Baruch,’ which means a blessing. He is a blessing to the United States Senate, to America, and to our shared hopes for better, safer tomorrows for all our families.”
And this from 2000:
“Politics is like a car … if you want to go backward — put the car in R — if you want to move forward — put the car in D.”
Was he wrong about Obama in 2006? Was he wrong in 2000? Is he wrong now?
We could put this off as mere politics. However, this is the same stage where the most unqualified Vice Presidential running mate perhaps ever, Sarah Palin, was going to be presented to the nation.
At TicosLand.com, we would kindly ask Mr. Lieberman to please make up his mind. While we’re at it, the Sarah Palin camp should also make up its mind. They have stated time and again to let the Palin family be, to back off and let them have their privacy.
And there they stood, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston, in a nationally televised, politically packaged airport <!– /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:”Cambria Math”; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-1610611985 1107304683 0 0 159 0;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:swiss; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-1610611985 1073750139 0 0 159 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-unhide:no; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:”"; margin-top:0in; margin-right:0in; margin-bottom:10.0pt; margin-left:0in; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:”Calibri”,”sans-serif”; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:”Times New Roman”; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; mso-default-props:yes; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:”Times New Roman”; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} .MsoPapDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; margin-bottom:10.0pt; line-height:115%;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.0in 1.0in 1.0in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} –>

receiving line, waiting to meet and greet the Republican presidential candidate. And there they sat and held hands as they watched the Alaska governor deliver an acceptance speech that, in its opening minutes, focused heavily on her family and children. They later went on stage and waved while the crowd cheered extendedly. And wasn’t that Piper Palin who appeared on her mother’s behalf on John McCain’s daughter’s blog? Is TicosLand.com the one seeing inconsistencies here? Let’s see, Sarah Palin, packaging herself as a PTA member and a “hockey mom,” wants her children’s privacy respected while at the same time dragging them into the limelight. You cannot have it both ways.
However, at TicosLand.com, we will leave it up to our readers in Costa Rica and around the world to decide whether using your relatives as accessories is respecting their privacy.

She certainly gave the home crowd what they wanted!
I’m concerned though that she supports the Bush war, and will probably continue spending hundreds of billions of dollars for death and destruction.
I just don’t see that as “pro-life.” Too bad.
I wonder too, how she would stand up to the tough guys, like Putin, Kim Il Sung, or Ahmadinejad, not to mention Joe Biden!
